As Chad Calland's daughter Wendy, I just want to say how grateful I am to know that all my family's suffering ultimately helped others. I had no idea.
Thank you for giving me a way to see a silver lining in what has always been the darkest hour of my life's history.

Thanks so much... There were so many who gave so much... and most will never know their names.
We are honored to include your dad among those who shall be remembered. Their contribution was not insignificant; nor was their suffering. You know that while few will ever experience the difficulty that your father went through, even fewer will understand what you and your family endured.
You will remain in our prayers. We know that healing can happen in the context of family and friends who understand and can share in the journey. We're glad to be included among those and we won't forget you.
I'll be with Darel, my brother Ron, and my dad as we celebrate dad's 74th birthday today. I'll be sure to share your message with Darel. He's not very tech-inclined, so he'll not be sending an email... but please accept our best wishes today.
